SimReady Asset Journey#

The SimReady Asset Journey describes the end-to-end workflow for creating, validating, and deploying simulation-ready assets that meet SimReady specifications.

For an AI Factory asset, the following diagram shows the journey from initial creation in a CAD source through the validation of a SimReady USD Asset.

Journey Overview#

Creating a SimReady asset is a multi-stage process that transforms CAD or source models into optimized, validated simulation assets.

Source CAD Asset → Preparation → Conversion → Optimization → Validation → Deployment

SimReady features for AI Factory assets are currently applied and validated downstream from the source CAD asset. The long-term objective is to shift as much of this work as possible into the source CAD applications themselves. This shift enables earlier, higher-fidelity metadata generation and accelerates the overall asset workflow.
